Bring the Christmas countdown to your home with this handmade wooden advent calendar. A little wooden star travels along the zigzag "rooftops" from 1 to 24, so kids can track the days until Christmas on their own. Make it a simple countdown, or add Nativity Scene figurines and turn it into a Christmas tradition your family returns to every year.
How the Advent Calendar Works
- Moving star countdown: the solid wood base is numbered 1–24 and has a toothed top edge, so the star can be moved one day at a time.
- 24 days: the calendar covers December 1–24.
- Two stars included: one in light wood and one in dark wood.
- Reusable: made of solid wood to last for many Christmases.
Choose Your Wood and Add-Ons
- Wood color: Light wood or Dark wood. The calendar, star and figurines all come in the color you choose.
- Nativity Scene figurines (optional): the stable, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, shepherds, sheep, an angel and the three wise men. Set them up on the calendar and add a new figure as Christmas gets closer.
- Hooks (optional): small hooks to hang something on for each day. They come in a separate bag and are screwed in by you.
- Engraving (optional): a personal message or Bible verse engraved on the back, up to 115 characters.
Fill It Your Way
With the hooks you can hang a small surprise for every day: envelopes with family advent activities, little gifts, notes or treats. This makes the calendar a great way to spend time together as a family. Envelopes and gifts are not included, so you choose what goes behind every number.
Display on a Shelf, Mantel or Wall
Stand the calendar on a shelf, table or fireplace mantel, or mount it on the wall with the double-sided tape included in the set. Either way it works as a cozy Christmas decoration.
